To setup and use Private VPN Server from LLHOST INC. on MacOS you need to follow 5 simple steps:
- Order a Private VPN Server on our website or request a free 24h trial in a ticket to our Technical Support Department
- Download a VPN configuration from the email sent to you by LLHOST INC.
- Download Tunnelblick VPN client on your device at link: Tunnelblick
- To install a configuration file, drag and drop it on the Tunnelblick icon in the menu bar or on the list of configurations in the 'Configurations' tab of the 'VPN Details' window.
- To connect to a VPN, either
- Click on the "Connect" menu item for it's configuration, or
- Select the configuration in the list on the left of the "VPN Details" window, then click on the "Connect" button.
If the connection is successfully established, the Tunnelblick icon will be dark to show an open tunnel, and the "Connect..." menu item for the connection will change to "Disconnect...".
The connection will be active as long as you do not end it or log out. Putting your computer to sleep will close the connection but upon waking up from sleep Tunnelblick will attempt to reestablish the connection.
Useful information:
- You can check your VPN IP address and GEO positioning on the What is My IP website when the VPN is connected.
- If you are an advanced user, you can access your Private VPN Server via SSH using the credentials from the appropriate email from LLHOST INC.
- You can use different configurations to separately manage devices or users within your Private VPN Server.
- Your Private VPN Server will operate under a no-logging policy, which means that neither your traffic nor your data is saved or logged.
